Researchers of University of St Andrews have created split-screen keyboard as a new setting of keyboard on touch screen mobile phone. They have claimed that by using split-screen keyboard, touch screen users can type faster than using QWERTY keyboard. It is designed special in order that we have a perfect performance in using our touch screen mobile phone especially in typing process. They also often call this new version of keyboard kalq which letters in keyboard are separated into two blocks. Some keys are in left block of your phone’s screen and some others are in right side, so it will make position of our thumbs more comfortable in typing process that will create a faster speed when you are typing.
There are sixteen keys in left block and twelve keys in right block, so it will make our thumbs to be able to type faster. Letter arrangement in split-screen keyboard or kalq keyboard is special because most common of first letters of words letters are placed in left block and all of vowel letters are placed in right block. Researchers of University of St Andrews have designed split-screen keyboard successfully. There is a significant difference between QWERTY keyboard users and kalq keyboard users which QWERTY keyboard users are able to reach 20 words a minute and kalq keyboard users are able to reach 37 words a minute.
